Paul Pogba is having an important role under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United midfield star Paul Pogba has produced a very impressive record in recent games this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The World Cup winner has scored eight goals and provided six assists in 10 league games since Solskjaer took over United helm in December after Jose Mourinho was sacked.
Pogba was praised by several football experts during his best career performance so far. His goal contributions from the midfield position have crucial impacts for his team. His boss sometimes positioned him in left areas on some occasions, in order to provide ball supplies from the flank for assisting other United forwards such as Rashford, Martial, Lukaku, or even Lingard.
The French international's performance against Chelsea last week was one of the examples that he successfully regained his form after he was sent off on the last match against PSG. He was involved in both goals in the game, with one goal from the header and one assist as he delivered a sublime cross to his midfield partner Ander Herrera.
“It hurts to lose after so many games without losing and it was a really bad feeling so we don’t want this to happen again.” says him on a defeat against PSG. “The result (vs Chelsea) was obviously great but we should react even better on the play.
“I saw him (Herrera) making the run and I tried to give him the best pass as possible and he headed it well. It was really helpful for us and he made it the difference.” his talk about Herrera’s goal.
Solskjaer hopes that the midfielder can maintain his consistency on playing his role and keep himself fit, considering that United will face a busy schedule for the next months. United will travel to London to face Crystal Palace on Wednesday, before playing at home against Southampton this weekend.
